REJECTED SHORTS: experimental fictions that have been rejected by lit mags read by talented performers in front of a live audience primed to enjoy unusual things.
We only accept submissions that have ben rejected already. This serves a few purposes. It encourages you to keep at it. It encourages weird writers to submit their work and get it out there in the world instead of assuming the world isn’t ready for their material. We provide them and the audience with an awareness of publications with a taste for the unusual, and finally, with more inventive fiction in circulation it forces even more staid publishers to read more innovative works and slowly and subtly shift their tastes.
Alexander Danner would be the ideal producer for this.
